As a teenager Belinda was a state representative netball player experiencing blurry vision on the court that she thought was 'normal'. Not until her 20s did she realise that her vision was less than 'perfect' and that it may have put an end to her representative sports ambitions. In June 2006 Belinda became the CEO of The Eye Foundation, motivated by the opportunity to help drive the organisation in its mission. Belinda's passion and drive to make a difference to the Australian community began while she investigated serious crime as a detective in the New South Wales police force. She was recently awarded 2007 Telstra NSW Young Business Woman of the Year and has been leading and driving sustainable business strategies in the not-for-profit sector for the past nine years.
